How to set up your Tracepos account

Steps

Sign up and log in
Once you have signed up with Tracepos, head over to the website and click on the "Login Now" link. Enter your login credentials - your email and password - and you will be directed to the initial setup page of Tracepos.

Set up your warehouse
On the initial setup page, you will see an "Add New Warehouse" button. Click on it and enter the main warehouse or store name under "Name". Leave the "Slug" field empty; Tracepos will automatically generate the slug for you. Now, provide your business email and phone number. You have the option to show your email and phone on the invoice.

Enter your company information
Next, select your business logo and enter your business address under the billing address section. If you want, you can also add your bank details to appear on invoices and receipts. In the terms and conditions, make sure to include the state where your business has jurisdiction. Once you are done, click on "Create" to proceed.

Add your currency
The next step is to add your currency. To do this, click on the "Add New Currency" button. Enter the name of your currency - for example, "Naira" for Nigeria. You can use "N" as the currency symbol or enter "NGN". Set the currency position to "front" and enter the currency code - "NGN" for Nigeria. Click on "Create" to save the currency settings.

Set up payment modes
Now, let's set up payment modes. Click on "Add New Payment Mode" and give it a name - for instance, "Bank" for First Bank Mode. You can also create a cash payment mode and set the mode type to "cash". Click on "Create" to save the payment mode settings.

Finalize the setup
In the final step, you will see your company details displayed - your company name, company slug, email, and phone number. You can add the company phone number if it's not already there. Choose your preferred date format and time format or leave it as default. Under currency, select the currency you previously created. Remember, you can create more currencies if needed. Also, select the warehouse or store you previously set up. If you have multiple stores, click the plus button to add more warehouses. In the default time zone, type "Lagos" and select "Africa Lagos". In the logo settings section, choose your company logo for the dark theme. Finally, click on the "Save and Finish Setup" button.
