Customer Management

 

The Customer Management feature in Tracepos allows administrators to manage customer records, including adding, editing, deleting, and filtering customers. This guide explains how to use the feature effectively.

 

Accessing the Customer Management Page

  1. Navigate to the People section in the Tracepos dashboard.
  2. Select Customers from the menu.
 

Features Overview

1. Viewing Customers

  • The Customer Table displays a list of customers, including:
    • Name: The name of the customer.
    • Email: The email address of the customer.
    • Phone: The phone number of the customer.
    • Balance: The customer's due amount.
    • Status: The current status of the customer (e.g., Active, Inactive).
    • Created At: The date the customer was added.

2. Adding a New Customer

  1. Click the Add Button:
  • Click the + Add button (visible if you have the customers_create permission).

Fill in the Details:

  • Enter the required details such as name, email, phone, and address in the Add/Edit modal.

Save the Customer:

  • Click the Save button to create the new customer.
  • If successful, the customer will appear in the table.
 

3. Editing a Customer

  1. Locate the Customer:
  • Find the customer you want to edit in the table.

Click the Edit Button:

  • Click the Edit button (visible if you have the customers_edit permission).

Update the Details:

  • Modify the necessary fields in the Add/Edit modal.

Save Changes:

  • Click the Save button to apply the changes.

4. Deleting a Customer

  1. Single Deletion:
  • Locate the customer you want to delete in the table.
  • Click the Delete button (visible if you have the customers_delete permission).
  • Confirm the deletion in the confirmation dialog.

Bulk Deletion:

  • Select multiple customers using the checkboxes in the table.
  • Click the Delete Selected button.
  • Confirm the deletion in the confirmation dialog.

5. Importing Customers

  1. Click the Import Button:
  • Click the Import Customers button to open the import interface.

Download Sample File:

  • Download the sample file to understand the required format.

Upload File:

  • Upload the file containing customer data.

Confirm Import:

  • Click the Import button to add customers in bulk.

6. Filtering and Searching

  1. Search by Column:
  • Use the dropdown menu to select a column (e.g., Name, Email).
  • Enter a search term in the search box and press Enter or click the search icon.

Filter by Due Type:

  • Use the tabs to filter customers by due type:
    • All: Displays all customers.
    • To Receive: Displays customers with receivable balances.
    • To Pay: Displays customers with payable balances.

Permissions

  • Add Customers: Requires customers_create permission.
  • Edit Customers: Requires customers_edit permission.
  • Delete Customers: Requires customers_delete permission.
  • Import Customers: Requires customers_import permission.
