How to Set Up Kuda POS Push Payments

Follow these steps to link your physical Kuda POS terminal directly to Tracepos. Once connected, Tracepos will automatically send transaction amounts straight to the terminal screen for faster, error-free checkouts.

Before you begin: Open your Kuda Business app, navigate to Collections > POS > Physical POS, and select the specific terminal you want to connect. Write down the Terminal Access Code and the Serial Number (S/N) (the serial number is also printed on the back of the physical device).

Step 1: Create and Link the Payment Mode

You will set up each Kuda terminal as its own specific payment method in Tracepos.

1. Log in to your Tracepos web dashboard.

2. Navigate to System > Settings and select Payment Modes.

3. Click Add New Payment Mode and fill in the following details:

   • Choose Payment Type: Select Bank.

   • Payment Method Name: Give it a clear name your cashiers will recognize (e.g., "Kuda POS - Ikeja" ) ensure "Kuda" is in the terminal name .

   • Global vs. Local Setup:

     • If this terminal stays in one specific store, uncheck the "Make this payment method Global" box and select the specific Warehouse/Branch where the device is located. This ensures only cashiers at that location can see and push payments to this terminal.

   • Kuda POS Integration Section:

     • Terminal Serial Number: Enter the serial number of the device.

     • Terminal Access Code: Enter the unique access code you copied from the Kuda app.

4. Click Save Payment Method.

How it Works

Once set up, whenever a cashier processes a sale on the Tracepos Web Dashboard or Mobile App:

1. They select Kuda POS - Ikeja (or your chosen name) as the Payment Mode.

2. Tracepos will automatically securely push the payment to that exact Kuda terminal.

3. The exact amount will instantly appear on the terminal screen for the customer to tap, insert, or swipe their card.

???? Tip for Multiple Terminals: Every physical terminal has its own unique Access Code and Serial Number. If your business uses multiple Kuda machines, simply repeat Step 1 for each device. By assigning them to specific warehouses, your cashiers will only see the terminals physically available at their branch!
