Creating Brands

 

To create brands within Tracepos, follow these simple steps:

 

1. Click on the "Product Manager" menu on the main dashboard.

2. Select "Brands" from the drop-down menu.

3. Click on the "Add New Brand" button.

 

In the brand creation form:

 

- Enter the brand name.

- You can leave the "slug" field as it is, as Tracepos will automatically generate a suitable slug for the brand name.

- If you have a brand logo, you can select and upload it.

- Click the "Create" button to create the brand.

 

Creating brands is a fundamental step in organizing your products and enhancing your inventory management.

 

Creating Categories

 

Categories help you categorize and group products. Here's how to create categories in Tracepos:

 

1. In the "Product Manager," go to "Categories."

2. Click on the "Add New Category" button.

 

In the category creation form:

 

- If you're creating a root category, leave the parent category empty.

- If you're creating a subcategory, select the parent category from the drop-down menu to assign it.

- You can create as many categories as needed to effectively classify your products.

 

Categories provide a structured way to organize your inventory, making it easier for customers and your team to navigate and find products.

 

Managing Variations

 

Variations are a key feature in Tracepos that allows you to efficiently manage different attributes of a single product, such as colors, sizes, or custom options. Here's how to create variations:

 

1. From the "Product Manager" menu, select "Variations."

2. Click on the "Add New Variation" button.

 

In the variation creation form:

 

- Enter the name of the first variation. For example, you could use "Color" as your first variation.

- Under "Variation Values," click the "Add New Value" button and enter the first variation value, such as "Red."

- Repeat this process for other color variations like blue and green.

- Click "Create" to save the variation.

 

You can add more variations such as size or any other custom attributes to your products, providing a comprehensive and organized inventory management system.
