How to Create a Bill of Materials (BOM) in Tracepos

The Create Bill of Materials (BOM) feature in Tracepos allows users to define the components and materials required to produce a specific product. This guide explains how to use the feature to create a BOM effectively.

Accessing the Create BOM Page

1. Navigate to the Stock Management section in the Tracepos dashboard.
2. Select Production from the menu.
3. Click on Bill of Materials.
4. Click the + Add button to open the Create BOM page.

Steps to Create a Bill of Materials

1. Select the Product

• Use the Product Search field to search for and select the product for which the BOM is being created.
• If the product does not exist, click the Add Product button to create a new product.

2. Set the BOM Date

• Use the Date Picker to select the date for the BOM creation.

3. Add Materials

1. Search for Materials:

• Use the Search Materials field to search for and select materials required for the product.
• If the material does not exist, click the Add Material button to create a new material.

• Enter the quantity of each material required for the production of the product.

• The table displays details for each material, including:
  • Name: The name of the material.
  • Available Quantity: The current stock of the material.
  • Unit Quantity: The quantity required for the BOM.
  • Unit Price: The price per unit of the material.
  • Subtotal: The total cost for the material.

4. Add Notes

• Use the Notes field to add any additional information or comments about the BOM.

5. Review Totals

• The Order Tax and Grand Total fields display the calculated tax and total cost for the BOM.

6. Save the BOM

• Click the Save button to create the BOM.
• If successful, you will be redirected to the BOM list page with a confirmation message.
